Rangers players ratings as Alfredo Morelos is the star of the show in stunning Europa League win

Rangers have often kept their best performances for Europe and it was another excellent Europa League showing against Anwerp.

The Ibrox men made it to the last 16 of the Europa League for the second year in a row with a 9-5 aggregate win over Antwerp, with it finishing 5-2 on the night.

Goals from Alfredo Morelos, Nathan Patterson, Ryan Kent, Borna Barisic and Cedric Itten helped them get over the line despite the couple of defensive errors.

And here's how the Rangers players rated at Ibrox.

Allan McGregor

Couldn't do anything at the first but will be disappointed with the second. It didn't matter in the end though as they cruised into the next round. 6

Leon Balogun

Filled in at right back again and after a good start he struggled in the latter stages of the first half. Booked and hooked at the break. 5

Connor Goldson

Like his goalkeeper, will be disappointed with the second goal but dealt with Lamkel Ze well for the majority of the game. 6

Filip Helander

Could have done better at the first goal but overall he did well throughout the game. 6

Borna Barisic

Smashed a third penalty in two European games with a great hit. Didn't do as much in attack but was solid defensively. 7

Steven Davis

He continues to defy his age with another very good performance in the middle of the park as he controlled the tempo of the match. 8

Glen Kamara

He's arguably becoming one of Rangers best players and it was another very good performance from the Finnish midfield. Worked hard and knocked the ball about well. 8

Joe Aribo

It wasn't his best performance of the week but he still did very well during the 90 minutes. Worked hard and helped the front three who were excellent. 7

Ianis Hagi

All of the front three were very good so he's probably unfortunate to have been subbed in the second half. He did brilliantly for the third goal and showed how good he can be. 8

Alfredo Morelos

Involved in all four goals with two assists, a goal and winning a penalty. An all round superb performance from El Bufalo and showed his other side too with some great sportsmanship. 9

Ryan Kent

At his very best during this game and got himself a goal and assist. Caused all sorts of problems for the Antwerp defence. 8

Subs

Nathan Patterson

On as a half time sub and scored within 16 seconds. Showed just how good he can be going both ways. 7

Scott Arfield

Replaced Ianis Hagi to help shore up the midfield and worked hard. 5

Scott Wright

Won a penalty and was very direct. He's only had cameos but he must be pushing for a start soon. 5

Bongani Zungu

The South African midfielder was a surprise sub and didn't have much to do when he came on to give Steven Davis a rest. 3

Cedric Itten

On to allow Alfredo Morelos off for the final few minutes and got himself a goal with a smashed penalty. 4
