With a 17th goal of the season and another assist for the winning goal, James Tavernier was the main man for Rangers once again.
The captain was the star man for Steven Gerrard's team at Tannadice with a fantastic free-kick and a great assist for the winner.
At the other end of the scale, it was an afternoon to forget for Alfredo Morelos who picked up a needless booking and was guilty of missing more chances. Needs a goal to boost his confidence.

Allan McGregor: Could do nothing about the goal and had virtually nothing else to do. 6
James Tavernier: What a goal. Great assist. Not much more needs to be said. 9
Connor Goldson: Popped up with the all important winner and was solid throughout. 8
Leon Balogun: Wasn't overly troubled aside from one nerby moment with McGregor in first half. 6
Borna Barisic: Tavernier stole the headlines but Barisic delivered well from the other flank too. 7
Glen Kamara: Nothing overly complicated from the Fin. Kept possession ticking over and snuffed out any rare United threats. 7
Steven Davis: Similar to Kamara albeit playing a little further forward. 7
Scott Arfield: With a bit of luck would have scored twice to make things more comfortable. 7
Ryan Kent: Caused United problems with his directness and on another day could have had at least one assist.
Kemar Roofe: Put a good shift in but only really had one first half chance. 6
Alfredo Morelos: A daft early booking put him under pressure and his day got worst with a series of miscues. 5
