Rangers player ratings vs Aberdeen as Todd Cantwell and Robby McCrorie impress at Ibrox

Todd Cantwell was the matchwinner as Rangers brought Aberdeen's unbeaten run to an end and got a win at Ibrox.

Michael Beale's men suffered a two goal defeat a couple of weeks ago at Pittodrie against Barry Robson's troops before losing out last weekend in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic with hopes of silverware this campaign ended. Ange Postecoglou and his troops are on course for a domestic Treble after the Hoops secured the Premiership title with victory over Hearts at Tynecastle.

The Light Blues made five changes heading into this one as they dished out chances to a number of players including Rabbi Matondo to stake a claim ahead of the big summer overhaul at Ibrox. Robby McCrorie made an excellent save from Duk with the score level and will hope to taste more action between now and the end of the season. Four games are left this season with another Old Firm derby against league winners Celtic next up. Here's how we rated the Ibrox side.

Robby McCrorie - 7

First start of season and start to stake his claim for final run-in and next season. Big save to deny Duk on break. Another smart stop to deny Mattie Pollock. Did chances no harm.

James Tavernier - 7

Skipper is a constant option on right side. Always prefers to attack. Heavily involved. Assist for Cantwell volley.

Connor Goldson - 6

Returned last week and is the main leader at the back. Caught with ball over top by pace of Duk but lucky Dons man fired over. Apart from that solid as ever.

Ben Davies - 5

A few tough moments with Miovski and Duk causing issues with pace and skill. Forced off before half-time for John Souttar.

Ridvan Yilmaz - 6

A big chance to show he can take over at left-back from Borna Barisic. Full of running up and down. Did ok.

John Lundstram - 6

One of two over hit passes in first period. In beside Raskin once again in the middle of the park.

Nicolas Raskin - 6

Loves to get on the ball deep and get the ball moving. Always gives an option. Decent chance but blasted over. Subbed.

Todd Cantwell - 7

Busy player throughout. Excellent ball for Sakala but goal ruled out. Stunning goal on volley that proved to be the winner. Booked.

Rabbi Matondo - 7

Bags of pace and not afraid to run his man. Two notable excellent link-up moments. Be hoping for a run in final four games. His cross turned off own bar by Jonny Hayes. Looked a threat. Subbed.

Ianis Hagi - 6

A rare start after putting any talk over his future to bed pre-match. Working his way back to full fitness. 65 minutes under belt here will do world of good. Subbed.

Fashion JR - 6

Played up top for Morelos. A few excellent pieces of link up. Really should have done better before half-time after nice play but effort saved. Goal ruled out for offside. Subbed.

Subs

John Souttar - 5

On in final stages of first half for injured Davies. Big chance to stake claim as the man next to Goldson.

Alfredo Morelos - 4

Could be one of his final Ibrox run outs. Looks increasingly likely to depart. Quiet shift from bench.

Scott Arfield - 4

Contract up in summer as he fights for new deal. Regularly makes an impact from the bench and could be a trigger for new terms.

Scott Wright - 4

Fringe man linked with Ibrox exit this summer. A regular role of minutes from bench under Beale. Excellent driving run to skip by number of players but effort tipped over.

Glen Kamara - 4

Faces a real battle in middle of the park for game time. Final 25 minutes in this one as part of a quadruple change.
