Rangers player ratings as Ryan Kent gets back to his best with top drawer showing

Rangers moved 22 points clear of Aberdeen and it was another solid performance from the Ibrox men.

They worked hard and controlled the tempo for most of the game and they needed to be solid defensively in the second half too.

Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos were the stars of the show, while Steven Davis and Ianis Hagi were good as well. Connor Goldson's defensive performance is just expect now and Allan McGregor made some good saves.

Here's how the players rated at Pittodrie.

McGregor

Made a great save from Jonny Hayes at 2-0 and couldn't do anything about Matty Kennedy's goal. 7

Tavernier

Missed a penalty and wasn't at his best for Kennedy's goal but worked hard up and down the wing and caused problems for the Aberdeen defence. 6

Goldson

Had a slow start but dealt with Sam Cosgrove comfortably throughout. 7

Balogun

Showed his pace in the second half to catch Cosgrove and his overall performance was good. Showing why Steven Gerrard is sticking with him. 7

Barisic

Lucky to escape injury after a horror tackle from Curtis Main but did well for Rangers. Some of his crossing wasn't at his natural best but still a solid performance. 7

Davis

Another classy performance in the middle of the park from the veteran midfielder as he controlled the game. He's been superb for the Ibrox side this season and continues to do so. 8

Kamara

His performances this season have been at a different level and he had another solid game in the middle of the park. 7

Aribo

He's not been at his best in recent weeks and it was another day where he just couldn't get going. Showed some nice footwork and it wasn't a bad performance, just not good either. 6

Hagi

Back into the starting lineup and was involved a lot in the first half. Faded out in the second but another good showing. 7

Morelos

Arguably his best performance of the season. Won a penalty and scored twice. His all round play was very good too as he dominated the Dons defence for large periods. 9

Kent

Like Morelos, he hasn't been at his best recently but he got himself two assists and tortured the Aberdeen defence at time. One of his best in the last couple of months. 8

Zungu

On to see out the win and did his job. The eighth game in a row where he's came on as a sub and he dealt with everything thrown at him. 3
