Rangers player ratings as Joe Aribo stars in hard-fought win for Ibrox men

It was a tough night for Rangers as they fought their way to all three points against St Johnstone.

Ianis Hagi scored the winner while Allan McGregor also had a big part to play in the second half with two very big saves.

Joe Aribo, though, was back to his best as he tormented St Johnstone with some excellent play.

And here's how the Premiership leaders performed at Ibrox.

McGregor

At his absolute best once again and made some really big saves at 0-0 and at 1-0. Probably the busiest he's been in a while and a very good showing from him. 8

Tavernier

Missed a glorious chance in the first half but was a big part of everything Rangers did well going forward. 7

Goldson

Had a couple of hairy moments but overall it was a pretty good showing from him in the back four. 6

Helander

The Swede showed some pace early in the second half which he isn't normally known for. Defended well. 7

Barisic

A different night for Barisic where he didn't have much attacking momentum but performed brilliantly from a defensive point of view. 7

Davis

Continued to show why he's a regular in this Rangers team at 36 as he controlled the tempo of the game for most of it. 7

Jack

Won the midfield battle with his energy and although he wasn't much of a threat going forward, he played a big role. 7

Aribo

A really good performance from the Nigeria international as he showed some silky skills throughout the match. Worked hard and arguably Rangers best player. 8

Hagi

Worked his socks off and scored a stunning goal to clinch all three points. Put in a shift defensively as well. 8

Roofe

His first start in more than a month and you could see it. His touch wasn't quite there and things weren't coming off for him but worked hard. 5

Kent

Started bright and should have scored early on but didn't have much of an end product throughout this one. 6

Subs

Itten

On for 25 minutes and worked hard but didn't get much of an opportunity going forward. 4

Kamara

The midfielder was on for the final few minutes to shore things up. 3
