Rangers player ratings as Alfredo Morelos pops up with vital winner

Rangers moved to within four points of the league title with a win over Livingston.

Alfredo Morelos scored the only goal of the game and was Rangers best player and he could have had a hat trick.

Steven Gerrard made a couple of changes to his side and will be happy with his side's overall performance.

And here's how the players rated.

Allan McGregor

Had absolutely nothing to do during the game but was booked late on for time wasting. 6

Nathan Patterson

He's never going to be a perfect replacement for James Tavernier but he was impressive down the right hand side. Showed good attacking intent and stopped any threat from Livingston. 7

Connor Goldson

The big defender dealt with all three strikers up against them and played some great balls forward. Led his team and kept them patient in his 150th game. 7

Filip Helander

Got away with a mistake early on but improved and played well throughout. 7

Borna Barisic

Put some great balls into the middle and was unlucky not to get an assist or two. Another good performance. 7

Steven Davis

The midfielder kept everyone patient and knows how close they are to the league title. Another solid effort from the veteran. 7

Glen Kamara

Probably Rangers' best midfielder on the night and played some really good stuff. He's probably unfortunate not to be in the running for player of the year. 8

Scott Arfield

Still doesn't look quite ready since returning to the team from his injury. Worked hard but didn't quite offer enough. 6

Joe Aribo

Moved into the attacking three tonight and showed some really nice feet. Looked the most dangerous player in the first half. 7

Alfredo Morelos

Should have had a penalty and eventually scored the winning goal. Was Rangers best player on the night and showing how vital he is to the team. 8

Ryan Kent

Was fouled at every opportunity from Livingston and never really got the opportunity to get going. 6

Subs

Cedric Itten

Came on as Rangers were chasing a goal but never really got much of an opportunity during the time he was on the field. 4

Bongani Zungu

On to see out the game. 2
