Rangers player ratings as Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent shine for champions elect

Rangers now have one hand and four fingers on the Premiership trophy and are just waiting on confirmation of it being there.

It was a brilliant performance at Ibrox as they cruised past St Mirren with goals from Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos.

The front three were excellent throughout the game, and then another three came on and were just as good in the closing stages.

The players celebrated with the fans outside at full time and Rangers are really enjoying this run in as they look to get their hands on a medal.

Here's how Steven Gerrard's men rated.

Allan McGregor

The goalkeeper didn't have much to do but made a great save from Jon Obika in the second half when he had to. 7

Nathan Patterson

Another fine performance from the fledging full back as he got up and down the wing really well. Looks like a good replacement for James Tavernier when needed. 7

Connor Goldson

Rock solid at centre back yet again and made some very good saves. A strong performance from the stand-in skipper. 7

Filip Helander

Cruised through the game yet again. Still yet to lose a game in the Scottish Premiership when he's played, an incredible record. 7

Borna Barisic

Like his opposite full back, got up and down the wing very well and put some good balls into the box. 7

Steven Davis

Played for an hour before getting a rest and it was another excellent performance from the midfielder. Cruised through the match as always. 8

Glen Kamara

There's not much you can say about the Finn other than how good he is yet again. Produced a great assist for Morelos and was in control throughout. 8

Joe Aribo

The midfielder went close with an early shot at goal and played some excellent stuff from the middle of the pitch. 7

Ianis Hagi

The Romanian was back in the team and scored a great goal in the second half. Battled hard when he needed to but picked up a booking with a poor tackle.

Alfredo Morelos

The Colombian scored the second of the game and played some fine football as he linked up the play. A really good showing from Morelos. Deservedly man of the match. 9

Ryan Kent

Scored a brilliant opener and was up there alongside Morelos as the best on the pitch. Was all over the pitch and caused a lot of problems for the St MIrren defence. 9

Subs

Scott Arfield

On for the final half an hour and almost scored with a good volley. Worked hard. 5

Leon Balogun

Back from injury and defended well during his time on the pitch. 5

Jermain Defoe

Unlucky not to score after forcing a great save and was desperate for a goal. 4

Scott Wright

Got another cameo and continues to look like he will be a very good player for Rangers. 4

Greg Stewart

A rare cameo for him and unlucky not to grab an assist. Showed why he's at the club and perhaps unlucky not to get more game time. 3
