Rangers pictured flying out but Ryan Kent misses crunch Champions League qualifier

Ryan Kent did not travel to Belgium for Rangers' Champions League qualifying clash with Union Saint Gilloise. The winger was not among Giovanni van Bronckhorst's squad as they left Glasgow Airport on Monday afternoon after picking up an injury in the weekend Premiership win over Livingston.

Kentlooked in visible discomfort in the latter stages of Saturday's 2-1 opening day victory at the Tony Macaroni and will now play no part in Tuesday's third round qualifying first leg. The extent of the 25-year-old's injury is not yet known. Alfredo Morelos was also not pictured in snaps of the Rangers travelling party as he continues to recover from his own injury.

Ibrox talisman Morelos has been included in the squad for the two-legged showdown with the Belgian outfit despite not playing since March due to a thigh problem, which saw him miss both the Scottish Cup and Europa League final last term. Antonio Colak led the line during the Scottish Premiership opening day victory against Livingston and appears to be the favourite to start up front against Karel Geraerts' men.

However, Ben Davies did travel and could be in line to make his first appearance for the club since his £4million move from Liverpool. John Souttar endured a tough competitive debut alongside Connor Goldson at the heart of the defence.

Ahead of flying out to Belgium boss Gio van Bronckhorst admitted they still had to check on the fitness of some key players. He said: "Rabbi and Ridvan were training yesterday with the team.

"We have another session in another couple of hours but we still have some players who are injury doubts. We have to see who is fit but those two can travel with us."
