Forgotten Rangers loan star Rabbi Matondo will return to Ibrox next week after Hannover confirmed they won't be triggering their clause to buy the Welsh international.
The 24-year-old joined the second-tier German side in January and scored after just 34 minutes of his debut against Hamburg.
However, that was his only goal in eight starts for the club and injury curtailed his progress too.
Hannover have an option to buy the former Schalke star for a reported £1 million. But the club's sports director Marcus Mann has now confirmed they won't be taking up their option for their three loan players - Matondo from Rangers, Bartłomiej Wdowik from Braga and Jessic Ngankam from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Mann said: "We would like to thank all three of them for their commitment to the Hannover 96 jersey.
"They each joined us at different times, but they all have in common that they quickly integrated into the group and always put themselves at the service of the team.
"We hope our supporters give all three a nice farewell.
"Matondo cost Rangers £3 million when he signed for them three years ago and still has a year to run on his contract."
