Rangers on Europa League red alert as Braga boss raves about his 'unstoppable' side

Confident Ruben Almorim believes Braga are ready for Rangers after watching his side put a serious dent in Benfica's title hopes.

The Portuguese side are riding a crest of a wave after their stirring 1-0 win in the Stadium of Light on Saturday as they gear up for their Europa League showdown in Glasgow on Thursday night.

João Palhinha netted the only goal of the game just before the break as Braga were rewarded for their attacking efforts.

And now manager Almorim is turning his focus to Rangers as they eye progression against Steven Gerrard's side.

He said: "When it comes to quality, we have nothing on the big three. But we have built a mentality that has put us on the right trac

“To win a game like Saturday night or like the one we face in Glasgow takes more than starlets. As against Porto and Sporting, we won the game with a set-piece and that side of the game is really important.

“Right now, Braga feels unstoppable, like we can fight for the title - but everything can change very quickly.”

And goalscorer Palhinha believes his side can cope with anything as they look to continue their hot streak in Govan.

He said: “Now we turn to Europe and we aim to win there too.

“We know it will be tough in Glasgow, but we have shown we can cope with anything.

“Anyone who sees this team play knows we are about the ones on the field, the ones who are not able to be on the field and about the fans. Together we are very strong.”
