Rangers 'not' in advanced Alfredo Morelos talks with Porto as striker's future remains mystery

Rangers aren't in advanced talks to sell Alfredo Morelos to Porto, according to a report.

The Colombian striker has been heavily linked with a big money move to the Portuguese giants with suggestions he had even agreed personal terms.

But the Ibrox star's future remains up in the air with Rangers nowhere near agreeing a deal to sell their talisman striker to Porto.

They turned down a bid of £16m last summer and although Covid-19 has had a marked effect on transfer fees throughout Europe, it's unlikely they would sell for the £10m figure which has been banded about.

And the Sunday Mail say Rangers are not in advanced talks to sell Morelos with Rangers looking to keep hold of him ahead of Champions League qualifying.

El Bufalo is currently on international duty with Colombia but has played just 10 minutes of their disappointing campaign so far.

Colombia picked up just four points from their four games but should still make it into the quarter final after the final round of games tonight.

Morelos will hope for more game time and it's believed he could decide his future when the Copa America finishes.

Steven Gerrard's side are desperate to hold onto the 25-year-old, who has scored 94 goals in 182 games for the Glasgow giants.
