Rangers' new manager search over as Davide Ancelotti 'joins'

Davide Ancelotti will reportedly become the next manager of Rangers.

Reports circulating in Spain tonight suggest that Davide, son of Real Madrid boss Carlo, will become a manager in his own right and has been selected to become the permanent successor to Philippe Clement.

Diario AS reports that Ancelotti, who works under his dad as a coach at the Bernabeu, will join the Scottish Premiership side as their new boss.

They also state that he will be joined by fellow Real Madrid first-team coach, Francesco Mauri, as his No.2 at Ibrox.

Barry Ferguson has been the interim manager of Rangers since late February.

It was announced today that Carlo Ancelotti would leave Real Madrid at the end of the season to take on the head coach role at Brazil.

More to follow.
