Rangers new home kit a hit as fans queue at Ibrox for Castore anniversary strip

Rangers fans have flocked to the club Megastore to snap up the new home kit for next season.

Punters turned up at Ibrox in their numbers to get their hands on the Castore anniversary kit for the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership season.

MyGers members got a glimpse of the new strip yesterday before it was unveiled to the masses this morning.

The of course blue top features gold detailing as the Govan club mark their 150th anniversary next year.

There’s also a new club crest to celebrate the occasion.

That’s proved controversial, but supporters seem no less keen to part with their cash to ensure they and their families are kitted out in time for the new campaign.

And it could get it’s action debut next month when English Premier League giants visit Glasgow for a glamour pre-season friendly on 17 July.

It’s hoped fans will be allowed back into the ground for the first time in over a year for the high profile fixture.

Castore became Rangers ’ official kit suppliers last summer after an agreement with Danish firm Hummel was ended prematurely.

Despite initial teething problems, the Liverpool-based brand are now associated with a season of success after Steve Gerrard delivered a first title win in a decade.
