Steven Gerrard insists Rangers ' new signings have had a seismic impact on his squad already.
And the Ibrox boss has told his stars that competition for places will be fiercer than ever next term.
He's already added Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart, Sheyi Ojo, George Edmundson and Jake Hastie while Steven Davis' loan from Southampton has been turned into a permanent deal.
Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo is set to pen a four-year contract and the club are optimistic over luring Ryan Kent back on-loan from Liverpool.
Gerrard is currently drilling his players on a gruelling pre-season training camp in Portugal and is delighted with what's he seen so far from the fresh faces.
"They have done very well, and I would say every one of them, so far, has been a positive on the evidence of what we have seen," he told Rangers TV .
"Both on and off the pitch, they are good people and hungry people who want to come in, contribute and make us better.
"That always sends shockwaves around the squad as people who have been here before realise the competition levels are going to go up, and as a manager, you are hoping that comes out in results.
"So the message to the players is to keep pushing as we are going to have options in all the positions and a better quality than we had last season, and that is great news for everyone."
