Stephen O'Donnell talked up Scotland teammate Nathan Patterson's ability as he joked about the competition between the pair.
The Motherwell star and the Rangers youngster are the two right-backs in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for the EUROs this summer.
It's expected that O'Donnell will be deployed as the right wing-back in Clarke's starting eleven with the 29 year-old possessing more international experience.
19 year-old Patterson is an exciting talent and he's impressed for Rangers this season, especially in Europe, and he received his first senior call-up to the Scotland squad last week.
Scotland boss Clarke's decision to select Patterson came as a surprise to some supporters and Bellshill star jokingly pretended that he didn't know about him before praising the Rangers academy graduate.
"Who?!" O'Donnell laughed when asked about his teammate. "I'm only kidding.
"I've not played with Nathan but today in training you could see he's very comfortable with the ball and he has plenty of confidence.
"The way he was getting on the ball, as if he was a centre-mid or something, so I'll hopefully be able to push him in there.
"But no, he looks like he's settled in well, and obviously he's got Jon{McLaughlin} from Rangers who I'm sure will put an arm around his shoulder.
"But I don't think he will even need that."
