Rangers morning headlines including Lech Poznan injury blow and Benfica fan return boost

Here are your Rangers morning headlines on Tuesday, October 27.

Lech Poznan injury blow

Lech Poznan are set to be without star man Pedro Tiba for their trip to Ibrox.

The Polish side will take on the Light Blues in the Europa League on Thursday night.

And the home side have been handed a boost as Tiba, who is widely known as Poznan's most creative player, is a major doubt for the fixture, reports the Daily Record.

The former Braga midfielder has accrued three goals and six assists this season for the Poles.

Benfica fan return boost

Rangers' trip to Lisbon next week to face Benfica is set to be played in front of fans.

The Portuguese side have been allowed to welcome a portion of supporters back inside the Estadio Da Luz.

Benfica host Standard Liege on Thursday and will have 4,875 fans in attendance.

And there is set to be a similar number as Steven Gerrard's men visit the following week.

A statement read: "The presence of supporters in the stadium was authorised by the Ministry of Health and the Director General for Health.

"Ticket sales will be exclusively for members and will be allocated according to the length of time they have been members. We ask our fans to respect the legislation in force, as well as rules and guidelines. Tickets are non-transferable."

Laudrup outlines huge Rangers positive

Brian Laudrup insists it's a huge positive Rangers are not relying on Alfredo Morelos for scoring this season.

The Colombian hasn't been his usual self at the top end of the pitch, but the squad have contributed to make up for his lack of goals.

Rangers have had 13 different scorers so far this term and former Ibrox man Laudrup thinks that only bodes well for the future.

He told The Daily Mail: "The team's strength just now is about more than just strikers. In 12 Premiership games so far, Rangers have had 13 different scorers. That makes them a really unpredictable opponent.

"This season, with so much hype and so much at stake, I think it's important they are not just depending on one or two players. There was a lot talk about Morelos earlier this season with all the speculation about his future and whether his head was right but he doesn't have to be the centre of attention right now.

"It's solved one of the problems from last term. There were more things wrong with Rangers after the winter break than just Morelos, but the gap wasn't really filled when he went totally off form and stopped scoring.

"It was a major concern for me coming into this season, but people have stepped up all over the park. Including James Tavernier, perhaps the only right-back in the world who is top scorer with a table-topping team.

"That spread of threats is always a positive."
