Rangers match halted after linesman struck

LONDON (Reuters) - Livingston's Scottish Premiership match at home to Rangers on Sunday had to be temporarily halted after an assistant referee was struck by an object thrown from the crowd.

The official, who was standing in front of the away supporters, was treated for a cut to the back of his head.

He carried on for the remaining half an hour of the game, which Livingston won 1-0 to move above both Steven Gerrard's Rangers side and champions Celtic into third place in the table.
