Rangers make goodwill ticket gesture to fans who missed Colts clash at Inverness

Rangers have issued ticket refunds to fans who were unable to attend Sunday's Colts clash with Inverness Caley Thistle.

A number of supporters planned to attend the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup semi-final defeat but were scuppered due to the senior side's rearranged Livingston fixture.

Steven Gerrard's team were due to face Livi on Saturday with some fans intending to head through to the Highlands to watch the kids the following day.

But, after the Premiership clash was postponed then rearranged for just 24 hours later, punters lost out on their chance to watch the Colts - despite having already paid up.

Rangers' supporter liaison officer Greg Marshall has now revealed the club will reimburse fans who couldn't make it.

He wrote on Twitter: "The club are aware that a number of supporters were unable to make the game on Sunday due to the rearranged Livingston fixture.

"Unfortunately, Inverness CT were not willing to allow us to refund the unused tickets purchased.

"However, as a gesture of good will, Rangers has agreed to refund supporters who purchased tickets but were not able to attend.

"Please return unused tickets to the Ticket Centre ASAP"

Graeme Murty's youngsters were defeated 2-1 at the Caledonian Stadium despite taking the lead through Dapo Mebude.

Goals from James Keatings and Miles Storey send John Robertson's side into the Final, where they will face Raith Rovers.
