Rangers loanee Glenn Middleton sent message by Stuart McCall as he urges patience

Stuart McCall has told Glenn Middleton he'll have to bide his time as the winger waits for his first taste of action in a Bradford shirt.

The Rangers loanee joined the Yorkshire club before the transfer deadline, after an unsuccessful loan spell with Hibs earlier this season.

But since McCall was reappointed for his third spell at the Valley Parade club, the 20-year-old has been left on the bench

The former Motherwell boss insists Middleton needs to be patient and will be called upon soon.

He said: "I know I’ve got disappointed players who didn’t get on and I’ve got disappointed ones in the stand.

"But that’s part of having a big squad. They’ve got to feel part of it and be ready to come on and be involved.

"Glenn’s obviously not had a lot of football, but I looked at the surface the other night and thought there were going to be high winds as well, if I’m honest. I didn’t think it would be a footballing game.

"I was looking to get Glenn on, but the way the game went, I didn’t think it was right. It’s different scenarios at times."
