Rangers linked with move for Scotland star Kenny McLean

Scotland hero Kenny McLean has been linked with a sensational move to boyhood heroes Rangers.

The ex-Aberdeen midfielder, currently at Norwich City, has caught the eye in recent weeks with his ice-cool penalty kicks for the national side in shootout wins over Israel and Serbia.

His perfect penalty at Hampden last month sent Scotland through to a winner-takes-all clash with Serbia and he made no mistake again on Thursday night to help Steve Clarke's side land their spot at next summer's European Championships.

And The Scottish Sun reports Gers boss Steven Gerrard could be set to "offer a deal paid in instalments or possibly take McLean on loan" in January, with a chance to make the move permanent in the summer.

Following the historic victory in Belgrade, Cambuslang ace McLean could be set to turn out for the Scots again tomorrow when they face Slovakia in the Nations League.
