Luka Modric is set to complete his move to a fellow European giant upon his departure from Real Madrid.
The former Ballon d'Or winner will leave the Bernabeu after this summer's Club World Cup in the USA.
The Croatia captain - who was tentatively linked with a sensational move to Rangers last month - is set to join AC Milan.
That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who states that a medical is organised.
The transfer guru wrote on X: "Luka Modrić to undergo medical and complete formal steps of AC Milan move after the Club World Cup.
"No signature/official steps before that as Modrić wants to focus on Real Madrid at the best level possible until the end."

What Rafa Benitez told ex-Rangers man about Ibrox job before Martin appointment
Modric has nearly 600 appearances to his name for Real, winning a staggering six Champions League trophies in that time since his transfer from Tottenham in 2012.
The links with Rangers arose when Davide Ancelotti was believed to be in the running to become the next head coach of the Ibrox club.
However, after whittling down their candidates, the Rangers board opted to offer the position to Russel Martin, who has been in the post for a week.
Ancelotti has re-joined his dad's backroom staff, now at the Brazil national team.
