Rangers lineup vs Hibs revealed as Steven Gerrard keeps Alfredo Morelos on the bench

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Hibs in the crunch Boxing Day clash.

The Premiership pair face off at Ibrox and Gerrard had some big decisions to make on his team for the big game.

After the 3-0 win over St Johnstone in midweek, Gerrard has made one changes to his team for the match that could have a big say on his side's season.

And the biggest decision made is to keep Alfredo Morelos back out of the starting lineup.

He was on the bench for the win over St Johnstone and came on in the second half and although Gerrard picked out his overall play as good, the Colombian did miss a great chance to end his poor run of goalscoring form.

He's still a vital player for Rangers, though, but Ianis Hagi holds onto his place after an impressive showing on Wedseday night.

It's means the only change is Leon Balogun returning to the starting lineup in place of Filip Helander who drops to the bench.

That means Allan McGregor starts in goals, with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic.

The midfield continues with Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo while Morelos is joined in the front three by Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe.

Hagi, Cedric Itten, Scott Arfield, Jermain Defoe and Filip Helander are all among the substitutes.

Full team: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Hagi, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Bassey, Helander, Zungu, Barker, Arfield, Defoe, Morelos, Itten
