Rangers lineup vs Hibs predicted as Steven Gerrard prepares to make changes after pitch claim

Easter Road is always a very difficult place to go and Rangers have won just one of their last four games there.

A 2-2 draw back in September was a disappointing result but Steven Gerrard's men had the best of the game that day and should have come out on top.

The Ibrox boss hinted that he would make changes against Hibs because of the condition of the the surface at Easter Road and that could see him bring in Cedric Itten.

Ball carriers don't seem the sensible option on a poor pitch so Itten's height could be an advantage and that's likely to be from the right hand side.

Ianis Hagi has been excellent in recent weeks and has a record of two goals in three games against Hibs, but he's most likely to drop out from the front three to accommodate Itten.

The Swiss frontman scored against Motherwell 10 days ago and at the time Gerrard suggested he was pushing for a regular start at the club.

Kemar Roofe is another option on his return from injury but given he hasn't played since January 2, a place on the bench seems more likely.

One man who made a return with a brilliant 30 minute performance against Ross County is Ryan Jack and he's likely to go into the starting lineup.

Games against Hibs can often be a battle and he could return in place of Glen Kamara.

The third and final potential change would see Leon Balogun come back in for Filip Helander at centre back.

Gerrard has favoured the pace of Balogun in big games and he could match up with Martin Boyle.

Predicted XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Davis, Jack, Aribo, Itten, Morelos, Kent
