Rangers lineup v St Mirren revealed as Steven Gerrard makes two changes for Premiership clash

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face St Mirren in the Ibrox side's final Premiership clash of 2020.

The Gers can maintain their 16-point lead over Glasgow rivals Celtic heading into the second Old Firm meeting of the season with a victory in Paisley.

However, the visitors will be desperate to avoid a repeat of their dramatic Betfred Cup exit to Jim Goodwin's men earlier this month, when Conor McCarthy's last gasp winner consigned Gerrard's side to their first defeat of the season.

Midfield talisman Steven Davis admitted revenge is on the Gers' mind when they go to the Simple Digital Arena and the Ibrox boss has named an attacking line up.

There are two changes from the XI that recorded a 1-0 win over Hibernian on Boxing Day, with Alfredo Morelos and Filip Helander coming in to the side.

It means Ryan Kent and Leon Balogun drop to the bench, while Scott Arfield - who limped off after coming on as a sub against the Easter Road side - not in the squad altogether.

Nathan Patterson replaces him among the substitutes.

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Kamara, Aribo, Davis, Roofe, Morelos, Hagi

Subs: McLaughlin, Bassey, Balogun, Patterson, Zungu, Barker, Kent, Defoe, Itten

St Mirren XI: Alnwick, Tait, Mason Shaugnessy (C), McCarthy, Doyle-Hayes, Obika, McGrath, Connolly, Fraser, Erhahon

Subs: Lyness, Flynn, Foley, MacPherson, McAllister, Durmus, Morais, Dennis, Erwin
