Rangers lineup v Dundee United predicted as injuries force Steven Gerrard rethink

Rangers take on Dundee United in a highly-anticipated clash on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams meet at Ibrox for the second time this season with Rangers coming out on top with a 4-0 win back in September.

Goals from Ryan Kent, James Tavernier, Kemar Roofe and Scott Arfield made it a comfortable day for Steven Gerrard's men but two of those players won't be available on Sunday.

Tavernier and Roofe both picked up injuries against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League so will definitely miss out.

In reality, there is a chance none of the goalscorers will start the match.

Ryan Kent has been struggling with a knock while Scott Arfield has just returned from an injury and, after playing 70 minutes against Antwerp, could be rested.

It could see Gerrard switch to more of a 4-2-3-1 instead of a 4-3-3 to get the width that Gerrard won't get on the right from Tavernier.

Leon Balogun is likely to be the replacement at right back as part of five changes that could be made on Sunday.

Ryan Jack will come back into the midfield then the three behind Alfredo Morelos could all change too.

Kent was impressive when he came on just before half time and he could be joined by Scott Wright for his first start.

The former Aberdeen winger would add more natural width to the team on a side where Balogun will play with Ianis Hagi playing centrally at No. 10.

Predicted team: McGregor, Balogun, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Davis, Jack, Hagi, Wright, Morelos, Kent
