Rangers line-up vs St Mirren revealed as Steven Gerrard makes Bongani Zungu call

Steven Gerrard has named his Rangers starting line-up to face St Mirren tonight in their Betfred Cup quarter-final clash.

The Ibrox boss has made several changes from the side that beat Dundee United 2-1 at the weekend.

The Light Blues are 90 minutes away from reaching the semi-final and are clear favourites to lift the trophy afer holders Celtic crashed out in the last 16.

Gerrard has named a strong XI to face the Buddies but has rotated his squad for the trip to Paisley.

Allan McGregor starts in goals with a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey.

Bongani Zungu gets the nod in midfield alongside Joe Aribo and Scott Arfield, with a front three of Ryan Kent, Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten.

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Bassey, Zungu, Aribo, Arfield, Kent, Roofe, Itten.

Bench: McLaughlin, Helander, Barisic, Patterson, Hagi, Davis, Kamara, Barker, Defoe.
