Rangers line-up vs Aberdeen revealed as Steven Gerrard brings Ianis Hagi back in

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named his team to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

The Ibrox side travelled to the North East to take on the Dons and it should be a fascinating affair.

Both teams are in very good form with a combined record of one defeat in their last 36 league games.

That defeat came for Aberdeen against Rangers at Ibrox so it's fair to say they've both been impressive this season and sit first and third in the league.

Gerrard hasn't had too many big decisions to make today with an injury list that has forced his hand in some positions.

Kemar Roofe joined Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield on the treatment table while George Edmundson and Jordan Jones also picked up injuries recently.

It means Ianis Hagi comes back into the starting lineup after his impressive performance against Celtic from the bench last week.

He joins Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent up front, with both players hoping to get back to their best form for the rest of the season.

The biggest choice for Gerrard was whether to stick with Leon Balogun or bring Filip Helander back in, and it's the former he's went with.

The Nigerian has been impressive and keeps his place beside Connor Goldson with James Tavernier and Borna Barisic at full back.

Allan McGregor is in goals while the midfield three is Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and Joe Aribo.

Rangers team: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Hagi, Morelos, Kent

Subs: McLaughlin, Patterson, Helander, Bassey, Zungu, Barker, Itten, Defoe, Stewart
