Rangers line-up v Bayer Leverkusen revealed as Steven Gerrard hands Brandon Barker start

Steven Gerrard has named his Rangers starting XI to take on Bayer Leverkusen, and Brandon Barker starts in place of Ianis Hagi.

Alfredo Morelos leads the line while Filip Helander is chosen in the centre of defence over George Edmundson. Steven Davis also gets the nod in midfield despite injury concerns.

The Rangers starting line-up is as follows:  McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Barisic, Jack, Davis, Aribo, Barker, Kent, Morelos.

Subs: Firth, Edmundson, Hagi, Jones, Stewart, McCrorie, Barjonas, Arfield, Mayo, Patterson.

Gerrard will be hoping his side can spring an upset and overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first-leg.

Leverkusen will be heavy favourites when things get underway at the BayArena shortly before 6pm, but the Ibrox coaching staff will have faith that their players can make things uncomfortable for the Germans.
