Rangers legend Michael Mols names his ultimate XI and picks the Ibrox pal 'he'd never heard of'

Michael Mols has named his ultimate all-time XI and has plumped for 10 former Rangers team-mates.

His twists and turns left opponents bamboozled and won the hearts of the Ibrox faithful during five trophy-laden seasons in Glasgow.

Mols suffered a serious knee injury in 1999 but manfully battled back and was part of the squad that sealed a Treble under Alex McLeish during the 2002/03 season.

The amiable Dutchman is fondly remembered at Ibrox and that love is reciprocated with a Light Blues special as he looked back at his favourite ever colleagues.

There's an emotional choice at right-back as Mols' great mate Fernando Ricksen earns a well-deserved inclusion at right back - as does Barry Ferguson in the heart of the midfield.

But there's room for a host of other Dick Advocaat stalwarts and one player in particular caught his attention despite knowing little about him before they linked-up in Glasgow.

He said: "I had never heard of him before we played together at Rangers.

"There, however, he was fantastic.

"He hardly lost the ball and his running ability was impressive."
