Rangers legend Brian Laudrup's hilarious Ibrox dressing room nickname and Gazza prank revealed

You'd struggle to find anyone who had a bad word to say about Brian Laudrup during his Rangers pomp - well, except maybe Celtic fans.

But while the legendary winger was lauded for his stunning performances on the pitch as the Gers motored to nine-in-a-row - off the pitch he was as good a target as anyone for the wind-up merchants in the Ibrox dressing room.

Former Gers No2 Archie Knox revealed this week how the former Danish international wasn't immune to some harsh treatment when it came to nicknames and pranks.

During a talk in Irvine, Ayrshire on Wednesday, Knox revealed Laudrup's dressing room moniker and lifted the lid on a playful spat with teammate Paul Gascoigne.

"He was a big, big lad Laudrup you know, said Knox.

"He was over 14 stone. We used to call him The Body. He had a long body and short legs so he got called 'The Body'.

"But what a player. Phenomenal player.

"I remember he came to me one day and said: 'Archie, you must have a word with this b*****d Gascoigne'.

"He says, 'Look, he steal my clothes. I have no clothes'.

"He used to do that on a regular basis Gascoigne. After training he would go and put somebody else's clothes on. Just random.

"I said, 'well you'll need to go home in your trackie then. He'll bring it back tomorrow'."
