Rangers legend Barry Ferguson spotted scouting Auchinleck ahead of Scottish Cup clash

Barry Ferguson watched on as Auchinleck Talbot failed to get the better of Hurlford United on Saturday during a 1-1 draw.

The Rangers legend and Kelty Hearts boss took in the match from the terraces of Beechwood Park on a scouting mission ahead of their televised Scottish Cup first-round clash on Friday night.

And he would have been delighted to see the visitors take the lead in the 10th minute thanks to a stunning back-heel flick by Liam Caddis from a corner.

A few good saves from ‘Ford goalkeeper Chris Murchie kept ‘Bot out as they pushed for an equaliser.

And, finally, in the 67th minute Dwayne Hyslop smashed home to bring the sides level.

With five minutes to go Tommy Sloan’s men should have grabbed all three points but Graham Wilson missed a spot-kick.
