Rangers legend Ally McCoist swaps Alan Brazil for the real thing as star channels inner Indiana Jones

Thrill-seeking Ally McCoist has swapped early morning rises with Alan Brazil for a the real deal as he tours South America.

The 57-year-old took to social media platform Instagram to post pictures of his adventures in Brazil and Argentina as he films a new TV show about fishing.

The show appears to test the affable star's action man credentials as he is seen posing next to a huge catch and stepping off a small aeroplane donning an Indiana Jones style fedora hat.

McCoist posted a collection of photos to his 73k followers yesterday evening as the legendary goal-grabber appeared to be having a brilliant trip.

He posed next to the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, even echoing the art deco masterpiece's famous pose.

The former Scotland forward has returned to media work since his departure as Rangers manager in 2015.

He has appeared on talkSPORT on their morning show and was highly acclaimed for his co-commentaries with Peter Drury in the 2018 World Cup .

He has kept details of his new show under his hat but has used the hashtag #whenallywentfishing which has a picture labelled Super Ally TV.
