Ally McCoist hailed Scotland's scintillating display against Denmark as a fitting tribute to departed legends Walter Smith and Bertie Auld.
Players observed a minute's silence before kick-off in memory of Smith, the former Rangers and Scotland boss who died last month, and Celtic's Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld, who passed away on Sunday.
Scotland went on to produce one of their best performances for many years as they dominated the Danes and ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from John Souttar and Che Adams.
Steve Clarke's men needed to win the match against the Group F winners to earn home advantage for the play-offs in March next year.

They delivered in style and McCoist, who was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports' coverage of the game, reckoned the stunning victory in front of a sell-out Hampden was a fantastic way to honour the memory of two footballing greats.
McCoist said: "What a performance, what a night. That's as good as anything I've seen, it really is. Fantastic.
"I was hopeful we'd get a performance tonight, but, boy, did we get it.
"We wanted a performance for Walter, we wanted a performance for Bertie and, boy, did we get it."
