Rangers learn potential Europa League opponents - here's when matches are scheduled to take place

Rangers will face either Progres Niederkorn or Dutch side Willem II should they overcome Lincoln Red Imps in their Europa League second round qualifier.

Steven Gerrard's men face a huge month as they look to qualify for the group stages for the third consecutive season.

It was only a matter of weeks ago they were playing Bayer Leverkusen in their last-16 second leg match, but already the focus has switched to the 2020/21 competition.

Rangers will fancy their chances against the Red Imps in Gibraltar – even if Celtic did suffer a shock 1-0 defeat there four years ago.

The match will take place on Thursday, September 17 in between league matches against Dundee United at home and Hibs away.

If Rangers, as expected, get through the second round qualifier then they'll face either Progres or Willem II the following week – on Thursday, September 24 – ahead of the away league game against Motherwell.

Supporters had plenty to say about the prospect of a THIRD clash against Progres in just four seasons – some of the best reactions can be found here.
