Rangers have learned what stage they will enter Champions League qualifying this summer.
Although highly unlikely after the first leg result, Rangers were hoping their old Europa League foes, Athletic Bilba,o could produce a stunning comeback against Manchester United at Old Trafford tonight.
The La Liga side trailed 3-0 after the first leg, however, Rangers knew that if Athletic had won this season's Europa League trophy while maintaining a Champions League slot with their domestic league placing, then it would have bumped the Ibrox club up a qualification path, meaning they would have entered at the third round.
However, Ruben Amorim's side recovered excellently after going 1-0 down to the Spaniards on the night to win 4-1 at Old Trafford.

This means that Rangers will enter Champions League second round qualifiers.
Here, they could face the likes of Servette, Brann or Austria Vienna.
The first leg of these games will be played on either July 22/23, with the return a week later on July 29/30.
Man United will play Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur in an all-English final at the San Mames later this month.
