Rangers kid Jordan Houston joins Ayr United on loan

Highly rated Rangers youngster Jordan Houston has joined Championship side Ayr United on loan.

The 19-year-old right back switches to Somerset Park on a season-long deal.

He joins fellow Ibrox starlet Stephen Kelly in the ranks of the Honest Men.

Boss Ian McCall told the club's website: "Jordan is predominantly a right back however he can cover several areas so he very much helps our squad.

"His arrival means that Andy Geggan could be another option in midfield which gives us a different dimension with the way he arrives in the box.

"We have seen Jordan several times including during pre season when he played against us and we are delighted to get him in."

The move sees United full back David Ferguson leave the club.

Houston goes straight into the squad for Ayr's trip to Partick Thistle tomorrow.
