Rangers kid Charlie Lindsay outshines Real Madrid and Inter stars as young Gers impress in Qatar

Rangers starlet Charlie Lindsay has outshone the cream of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Paris St Germain to be named top player at the Alkass International Cup.

The 15-year-old midfielder will officially join the Light Blues from Glentoran on a three-year-contract after his 16th birthday in the summer.

He is currently eligible to appear for the youth sides, however, and and led by example as he captained Rangers under-17s at the prestigious tournament held at the Aspire Academy in Qatar.

The East Belfast boy played five games helping Rangers out of their group and into the knockout stages where they eventually lost in the knockout stages to the Mohammed VI Academy.

Lindsay picked up the man of the match in four of his five appearances and also finished as the competition’s top scorer along with Zenit's Igor Kozlov on six goals.

Real Madrid went on to lift the cup with a 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the final this week.

The kid is tipped for big things and has already made history with Glentoran by becoming their youngest ever player when he made his debut 15 years, four months and 24 days.
