Rangers' Kevin Klein scores winning goal after losing part of his ear

Dec. 09--New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein lost part of his left ear following a high stick from Pittsburgh's Zach Sill late in the first period of the teams' game Monday night.

He looked like this:

Yikes, Kevin Klein lost the tip of his ear on that high stick tonight, here's a pic, not for the weak-hearted FYI- pic.twitter.com/Gyoc9hQxJB

But you think that's gonna keep him down? Not a chance. He was back on the ice during the second period.

And, oh yeah, he scored the game-winning goal in overtime. With 13 stitches holding his ear together.

"They did some of it on the bench and the rest at intermission. I don't know," a smiling Klein said after the game ... when he looked like this:

"He lost a piece of his ear, and they sewed it back. Say what you want about hockey players, but they are tough," Rangers Coach Alain Vigneault said of Klein, who looked like this Tuesday morning:

Thanks everyone! Saw the plastic surgeon this morning it is all good. #tysonbitme pic.twitter.com/xqJQuxz7r6
