Rangers issued Celtic goal warning if there's a repeat of Alashkert display in Old Firm clash

If Rangers repeat their lacklustre display against Alashkert on Sunday, then they're in Old Firm trouble.

Steven Gerrard’s men secure their place in the Europa League group stages with a 0-0 draw against Alashkert (1-0 agg), who had a man sent off in the first half.

Alfredo Morelos missed three great chances over the course of the 90 minutes and Joe Aribo twice struck the woodwork with decent efforts.

But they didn’t cover themselves in glory with the performance and BBC pundit Richard Foster can see Celtic racking up the goals in Sunday’s Premiership clash if the hosts don’t significantly up their performance level.

"If they play like that on Sunday Celtic will score as many as they want I think,” he said.

"The heat probably played a factor, they never got to play their normal game, where they kind of hunt in packs and press teams.

"Then that just kind of got it's way though their whole performance and they just never got going.

"Saying that, Morelos should still score three goals. The last one he has probably got to header it.

"It's not a convincing performance, but the main thing is they are through to the next round.

He added: "I think on recent performances, I think Celtic are the favourites."
