Giovanni van Bronckhorst has revealed Filip Helander has suffered a setback on his road to recovery - but it is positive news on the Alfredo Morelos front.
The Sweden international has been sidelined for months due to injury and is still not in training with the pre-season schedule intensifying ahead of the competitive return to action. It is better news on star man Morelos though, who is now training with the team as he steps up his own recovery from the thigh surgery he had following his injury while on international duty with Colombia last season.
The Light Blues learn their Champions League third qualifying round fate later this morning as the road to earning a spot at Europe's top table begins. They will need to successfully negotiate two rounds to join Celtic in the lucrative group stages of the competition. Domestic matters in a competitive nature also return in less than two weeks. A number of new faces have arrived at the club this summer with John Souttar, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo and Malik Tillman all checking in so far.
