Rangers injury update as Micheal Beale confirms return of seven players

Michael Beale has provided a major Rangers injury update with seven players to be back in training by next week.

There were concerns over injury setbacks for Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe as they both missed the friendly loss to Olympiacos.

However, Beale revealed the duo were left out in order to keep their training to a high level during the week with both in line to play at the weekend against Hoffenheim.

Ryan Jack will also return to the squad for the match in Germany.

Youngster Adam Devine returned to training on Tuesday, Dujon Sterling will be in training from Friday and Leon King and Connor Goldson will head back into Rangers training next week.

King will be back from Monday with Goldson to return on Thursday before the start of the league season.

Beale confirmed: "No issues, Tom and Kemar we knew coming back that we needed a good week [of training] in them, we thought the match minutes were good but if we slow down our training to this game, only play certain minutes and then they have to take a day off it's a wasted week. They needed to have a big week into the game at the weekend.

"Ryan Jack will be back in the squad, Adam Devine trained yesterday, Dujon Sterling will train on Friday, Leon King is back Monday and Connor Goldson will be back next Thursday just before the start of the season."
