Much-loved pundit Ally McCoist admits he was left clueless when his son messaged to tell him he was trending.
The 58-year-old is is a relative social media newcomer but has earned rave reviews for his witty updates on Instagram in recent months.
But McCoist and co-commentator Clive Tyldesley were the toast of Twitter on Sunday night for their entertaining updates for Amazon Prime at Anfield as Liverpool thrashed Wolves 4-0.
A host of five-star reviews followed as the Rangers icon was the name on everyone's lips after his latest starring role for the broadcasting upstarts.
McCoist, however, admits he was forced to play along when his son got in touch on the road back to Scotland and admits he thought the praise was more to do with his sartorial elegenace.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "You'll have to tell me what that means, my oldest boy text me on the way back up the road last night from Liverpool.
"I just said 'oh, that's magic' as if I knew what was happening.
"I thought I looked quite sharp up in the commentary box."
