Rangers handed Celtic clash hope as Nigeria boss drops hint over Ibrox trio

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has given Rangers hope of having their Nigerian stars available to play Celtic.

Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey are due to join up with the Super Eagles ahead of their African Cup of Nations campaign.

FIFA have issued a deadline of December 28 fir players to join up with their respective squads.

That would rule the trio out of the massive Premiership clash at Celtic Park on 2 January.

Bt Rohr has admitted that he's already field calls from Glasgow on the issue and hinted that not all of his players will have to be with him before FIFA's deadline.

"We need a good preparation, we need the players at least ten days before but like you know in the UK, they play,” he said.

"Somebody called me from Glasgow already. They have the derby Rangers v Celtic on the second day of January and asked if we can let the players play.

"We have a lot of problems to prepare the team, but I think we will have most of our players at least ten days before."
