Rangers given Europa League warning as Young Boys star fires qualification message

Young Boys winger Christian Fassnacht has fired a Europa League warning to Rangers as the Swiss target victory at Ibrox.

Defeat to Porto in Bern last night denied them the chance to secure qualification, and defeat in Govan would now see them eliminated.

Fassnacht felt he and his team-mates might have been complacent last night - but assured that won't be the case against Rangers .

The Young Boys winger said: "In my opinion, it's good that we have to win. It means we cannot play for a draw.

"We have to go to Glasgow and beat Rangers in their own stadium. It will be a great experience for all of us.

"The defeat to Porto hurts, but it was our own fault because we were too passive in the second half. We knew how they would play because we did our homework.

"It may sound stupid, but this defeat may actually see something good come out of it.

"Perhaps we were too complacent and took victory for granted. This defeat proved to us that we must work harder than ever and that will certainly be the case in Glasgow.

"It's still in our hands."
