Rangers give Celtic's opponents FC Midtjylland a helping hand ahead of Champions League clash

FC Midtjylland will use Rangers’ training ground after their Champions League qualifier against Celtic.

The Danish outfit take on Ange Postecoglou ’s side in the first leg of their second round qualifier, taking place at celtic Park on Tuesday.

And they’ll train at Auchenhowie on Wednesday morning after the Ibrox club allowed Bo Henriksen’s squad the use of their facilities, reports the Sunday Mail.

The two clubs formed a relationship after facing each other in the Europa League qualifiers back in 2019.

A high scoring encounter ended with Steven Gerrard ’s team running out 7-3 winners on aggregate.

The respective coaching staff have stayed in touch since and is understood to be why Rangers will accommodate Midtjylland rather than simply wanting them to get one over on their city rivals.

The visitors will then fly back to Denmark on Wednesday afternoon before facing Aalborg ahead of the return leg the following week.

They will be looking to make amends for last Friday night’s shock defeat to OB Odense.
