Rangers foe gushes over 'the great Steven Gerrard' as Europa League rivals predict Ibrox shock

Lech Poznan keeper Filip Bednarek can't wait to meet "the great Steven Gerrard" but predicted his side will leave Rangers shocked.

The shot-stopper insists the Poles can dump the Ibrox side out of the Europa League despite being underdogs.

Gerrard's side will square off against Lech, Benfica and Standard Liege following Friday's group stage draw.

Former Twente Enschede keeper Bednarek, who saved a penalty in the play-off round as Lech beat Charleroi, believes his team shouldn't be underestimated.

He said: "We play Benfica, one of the biggest clubs in the world and Rangers who have the legendary Steven Gerrard on the bench as manager. To meet the great Steven Gerrard will be an incredible experience for me.

"Standard Liege may be not as well known, but they are a big club who fight for the title every year in Belgium.

"I would have liked to have drawn AC Milan or Spurs for the glamour, but I think this draw gives us a real chance of continuing our European adventure.

"We are not afraid of anyone and I think we can surprise the teams in the group, especially at home.

"I think we are the dark horses of the group."
