Rangers flop Kevin Mbabu seals £8m move to German giants Wolfsburg

Kevin Mbabu has completed a stunning £8million move to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

The Rangers flop, who was one of the 'Newcastle Five', has spent the past two years with Swiss giants Young Boys.

Has has also made four appearances for Switzerland but has now made the switch to Germany after impressing.

Mbabu's time in Glasgow was so bad he never even managed to make it on to the bench for the Ibrox side, despite them struggling in the Championship.

He did play in a heavy 5-2 defeat to Celtic in the Youth Cup Final but was hauled off at half-time after a poor performance.

The right back struggled up against Kieran Tierney, who was playing left wing on the night before being converted to the left back he is now.

But since leaving Ibrox, his career has been on the up and he's now signed a four-year deal in Germany.

Of the rest of the Toon 5 that were foisted upon Rangers in 2014-15, Gael Bigirimana currently plays for Hibs after a spell at Motherwell, Shane Ferguson is at Millwall, Haris Vuckic plays for FC Twente and Remie Streete hasn't played since leaving Port Vale in 2017 and has been plagued with injuries.
