Rangers flop Carlos Pena finds new club as former Ibrox outcast ends lengthy exile

Rangers flop Carlos Pena has signed for Mexican side Correcaminos ending his lengthy absence from football.

The former Ibrox outcast had been without a club since walking out on Polish outfit GKS Tychy over a wages dispute.

Pena's contract at Rangers was terminated by mutual consent after a disastrous spell in Glasgow blighted by alcohol problems.

The Mexican, signed by Pedro Caixinha , enjoyed two loan spells in Mexico as he made just 14 appearances for the Light Blues.

The last time he kicked a ball was for Necaxa in October 2018.

But his exile is now over as he penned a new deal with the second tier side in his homeland.

Pena trained with Atlas earlier this month as he searched for a new employer, but failed to win a contract with the Guadalajara-based team.

The midfielder joined the Ibrox side along with fellow Mexican Eduardo Herrera , who is still contracted at the club. The striker currently plays for Pena's former side Necaxa.
