Rangers fans welcome Slavia Prague with '2am firework display' outside Glasgow hotel

Rangers fans welcomed Sparta Prague to Glasgow with a '2am firework display' on Thursday morning outside the Crowne Plaza.

Steven Gerrard's men are set to take on the Czech side at Ibrox in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday night.

The visitors are staying at the Crowne Plaza in the city centre while they're in Scotland.

And a video emerged on social media of supporters setting off fireworks outside the luxury hotel, supposedly in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The away side trained at Ibrox on Wednesday as they put in their final preparations for the clash as Rangers carry an away goal advantage following the 1-1 draw a week ago.

And the Czechs seem to be enjoying their time in Glasgow as Slavia chiefs were given a tour of the stadium ahead of the match.

Vice-chairman Tomas Syrovatka was in awe of Ibrox's storied history.

He said: "So I have traveled through Europe with Slavia Prague, but nowhere, nowhere, nowhere have I experienced such a stadium. Incredible, enchanting history.

"Never rebuild it. For football."
