Rangers fans threaten to cause chaos if they play Cork City in Europa League

Some Rangers fans have threatened to cause chaos if they end up playing Cork City in the Europa League.

Steven Gerrard's side could face the Leesiders if both teams win their first round qualifiers.

Cork take on either either FC Progrès Niederkorn or Cardiff MET, while Rangers face Kosovo's Prishtina or Gibraltar's St Joseph's, reports Cork Live.

Considering the contingent of Celtic supporters in the Rebel County, the response from Rangers fans to the possibility of facing City was almost predictable.

One Gers fan on Twitter said: "Cork City away would be carnage and I am all for that."

Another posted: "Cork City in round 2. Just when you thought The Troubles were over."

Someone else commented: "Announce international incident in Cork."

And another said: "Cork would be worth it for the 25 year ban from Europe alone."
